The parade showcases culture, tradition and heritage amongst various groups. Participating groups include: Rice University-African Student Association, ASA Festival, Greater Owerri Community, Oto-Umuokpu Anambra State Organization, Akwa Ibom Young Professionals, University of Houston-Nigerian Student Association, Zumunta Association (Hausa), Umu Igbo Unite, Osogbo Progressive Union and many more.
