The Nigeria Cultural Parade and Festival in honor of Nigeria Independence Day will create fun family friendly and positive atmosphere of cultural awareness through an array of dances from traditional to tribal, traditional attire, and traditional Nigerian cuisine.

Paid parking garages and street parking are available throughout downtown Houston near Discovery Green.
Cost for parking will vary in downtown. Please adhere to the instructions provided by any parking lot or metered parking.

EMS will be in various areas around the parade site or you may ask a parade staff representative with a radio for assistance with an emergency. Please see the parade route map for exact locations.
Most vendors will take credit or debit cards. However, feel free to bring cash with you, just in case.
We encourage you to wear cultural attire to join the festivities of the day. Remember, rain or shine, so have your raincoat handy!
Yes. All areas of the parade and festival are accessible for strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs. Dogs are welcomed but must be on a leash
ALL parade participants should arrive for parade check-in and registration, at 7:45 AM. Registration and check-in will end approximately at 9:00 am.

Parade participants are required to provide all materials and equipment needed to complement their participation. This includes but not limited to music, sound system, microphone, costumes, vehicles, and/or any instruments.
