On the eve of the most awaited Nigeria Cultural Parade, the City of Houston will be honoring Nigeria’s Independence Day by illuminating both the City Hall and major Highway bridges “green-white-green.” The line-up is fierce, afro beats are making waves in Lion King: The Gift and the goat meat pepper soup is already cooking. The 3^rd Annual Nigeria Cultural Parade & Festival is underway in a MAJOR way on Saturday, September 28^th at Root Memorial Square – 1400 Clay Street starting at 9:00 am until the jollof rice runs out!

Mark your calendars and pull out your best! It is about the Naija Experience and the community is ready to serve it in the most flamboyant way possible. Akwa Entertainment will present the Ekombi dance and the incomparable, award-winning Ross S. Sterling Raider’s Marching Band will bring a vibrant sound preview anticipating their own homecoming!
